Pectel Limited was formed in 1982 as an Asbestos Removal firm, based in Southend. In 1988, after several years of successful growth, and having begun to establish a healthy reputation, the company relocated to new premises on the Burnt Mills Industrial Estate in Basildon.

Developments in market activities saw the formation of Pectel Contract Services in 1995. This increased the scope of services provided by Pectel to include building works, roofing and refurbishment, thus giving the company more control in asbestos removal projects.

Pectel Head Office 1999-Present

Due to an increasingly problematic lack of space and facilities at the head office, Pectel relocated to a purpose-built complex on the outskirts of the same industrial estate, in April of 1999.

Later that year, customer driven requirements from our Asbestos Removal operations involving air ducts necessitated the formation of Pectel Air Management Systems. This enabled the Group to supply a specialist Duct Clean/Fumigation and Mechanical Engineering service for laboratories and hospitals.

Most recently, in 2002, the foundations were laid for the latest addition to our catalogue of services - Disaster Management.
